What We Are Looking For

Sport, unlike other areas of the schedule, does not have a regular commissioning process for strands of programming as much of it is dependent on the acquisition of rights.

Our highest profile sports are football and cricket and Boxing. We are the principal partner of UEFA for the Europa League and have first pick of matches through all 15 match weeks including exclusive coverage of the Final.

This Season, Manchester United and Manchester City have joined the competition at the knockout stage and, along with Stock, will be aiming for a place in Bucharest for the final on May 9th.

Channel 5 broadcasts exclusive terrestrial coverage of England Test Matches and One Day Cricket Internationals during the summer, which this season will include Test matches and one day internationals against South Africa and Australia.

The Channel has also brought live boxing back to terrestrial television. A series of broadcasts featuring British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury have proved hugely popular. Expect more from Tyson this year - as well as some exciting new British talents.

Channel 5 is also the terrestrial home of the ever popular annual event that is the World's Strongest Man.
