Channel 5 launched its first website way back in 1999. Through the years channel5.com has supported numerous programmes from the bizarre to the informative such as Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers, Jedward's Weird Wild World, Royal Marines: Mission Afghanistan, Born To Kill, Being: Liverpool and Celebrity Wedding Planner, plus numerous series  of The Gadget Show and since 2011, Big Brother.

 

Following significant investment in Channel 5's network of sites the Digital Media team is responsible for a number of successful sites including The Gadget Show , a highly successful portal for kids Milkshake! plus channel5.com which includes the Demand 5 service.

  • In a typical month, Channel 5's digital network receives over 35 million page impressions from as many as 3 million unique users.
  • Demand 5 is now available across many platforms, including YouView, You Tube, Virgin Media, Sky Anytime Plus, Sony Bravia and Xbox.
  • The Channel 5 video network achieves over 12 million video streams a month.
  • And it's not all about the grown ups. Channel 5 has a dedicated site for pre-schoolers, Milkshake!. With a great mix of games and fun activities available users spend an average of 18 minutes on the site.
